As one of country music’s best-selling artists, Miranda Lambert has little to prove, but this disc does find her moving away from the borderline-novelty songs that have been her calling card. More high-cred outside writers (including Allison Moorer and the Gillian Welch/David Rawlings team) are represented, but Lambert co-wrote “Fastest Girl in Town,” the track with the best hook.
