New Release (Live Nation)
This is really less one artist’s album than an empire-building move by Live Nation, whose 360 deal with Madonna is one of the largest in entertainment history. She wouldn’t go for an artistic album under those circumstances and this sure isn’t one: Rather, it’s the kind of light dance-pop she outgrew years ago, with loads of production tricks and the lyrics dumbed down (and spelling everything wrong) to fit her current image as an edgy teenager.
