New Release/Reissue (Warner Brothers)
Technically a reissue of an album that went out of print immediately after last month’s Record Store Day release, this collection of collaborations (a few of which slipped out on earlier singles) is so unlikely that it almost qualifies as a concept album. All the guests do something uncharacteristic, whether it’s Ke$ha singing a metallic rocker or Erykah Badu doing a Pink Floydian version of “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.” But nobody surprises more than Yoko Ono, who intones the title of her song (“Do It!”) in a manner suitable for a good porn movie.
