As the second album this year by the reunited GBV (with a third set for November), this is bound to get less attention than the merely-pretty-good Let’s Go Eat the Factory. And wouldn’t you know it: This one’s the real stuff, fully recapturing the Bee Thousand/Alien Lanes magic. The clincher is that the minute-long songs (eleven of ‘em) are just as memorable as the three-minute pop epics.
