New Release (Important)
This is just what the title says, an homage to Miles Davis’ fusion milestone, with new pieces that reference the original tracklist but are never mere covers. The Japanese psychedelic collective is the perfect band to bring this off, keying into the echoed headiness of Davis’ album rather than just the lengthy solos. It sounds like something that a band under Davis’ influence could have made in 1971, complete with period sounds. Even if you’re not Chick Corea, you still can’t go wrong with a Fender Rhodes through a wah-wah.
