The Scream franchise continues to work meta-horror magic in its latest installment. It picks up 10 years after the original, with the major players — Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette — stuck in Woodsboro for one last romp with Ghostface Killer. There’s a new generation of victims-to-be joining the ranks (Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin), and the story and execution puts this on par with the first Scream. Director Wes Craven and screenwriter Kevin Williamson have this formula down to a science, mixing in the right amount of clever humor and ultra-gory jolts making this a worthy finale. . . until they decide to come back for some more.
