A gold-digging pot-smoking junior high teacher (Cameron Diaz) scams the education system to raise money for a boob job in hopes of landing a rich substitute teacher (Justin Timberlake). Bad Teacher has a few funny moments but it’s just one long R-rated sitcom. Unlike Bad Santa or Role Models, nothing here seems natural. The biggest laughs come from a sickeningly dorky and devious rival (Lucy Punch) and a laid-back gym teacher (Jason Segel). Fans of Diaz will be pleased with the crystal-clear quality of a racy car wash sequence, but this is one of those comedic ideas that makes a very good trailer and an extremely mediocre feature film.
