From the opening shot of the band playing Chuck Berry’s “Let It Rock” to the big finale that includes his “Sweet Little Sixteen” along with “Brown Sugar” and “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” this 1978 concert finds the Rolling Stones getting back to basics with something to prove, as punk rock and New Wave nipped at their heels. If the Some Girls tour was the Stones’ Last Hurrah as the most important rock & roll band in the world, they certainly went out in a blaze of glory.
