In this creepy, old-school, gothic ghost story (based on the novel by Susan Hill), a young lawyer (Daniel Radcliffe) goes to stay in an old dark house on a hill at the edge of a remote village in order to settle the papers of a recently deceased client. Unsurprisingly, there’s more to the house than he was expecting, as the gloomy locals can fearfully attest.
