It’s not often that a modern novel yields two critically acclaimed and popular film adaptations, but that’s what has happened with the first book in Stieg Larsson’s “Millennium Series” trilogy. Director David Fincher’s (Fight Club, Seven) Hollywood version of The Girl With Dragon Tattoo earned an Oscar nomination for Best Film Editing, and star Rooney Mara was nominated for Best Actress. This brutal thriller also features a reimaging of Led Zeppelin’s classic “Immigrant Song” by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, sung by Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
