Meridian Sooloos Control 15 Music Server
CHECK OUT THE FULL REVIEW
What, you ask, is a Sooloos? Let’s review. It’s a networked music server system that uses a touchscreen controller and hard disk to store, access, and play music. The newest version packs both of those components into one chassis, thus lowering the system’s price. It also has a built-in CD slot for ripping and can transfer content from networked PCs and Macs. Moreover, the Control 15 can stream Internet radio and other media from networked computers.
The whole system fits in a 17-inch tabletop touchscreen and can be controlled via Wi-Fi by the Meridian Sooloos iPhone/iPad app. Its 500-GB drive can hold about 1,000 lossless- compressed CDs. The company’s Media Source 600 ($3,500) can also be connected to add a variety of digital audio outputs and analog inputs. And that, my friends, is what a Sooloos is! meridian-audio.com
