Although Grado wasn’t in attendance, retailer and headphone amp maker HeadRoom was demoing the company’s new PS500 headphone. The $599 PS500 is essentially a smaller, much less expensive version of the Grado’s flagship $1,695 PS1000. The driver housings are made from a “sandwich” of aluminum and mahogany to help damp resonances and vibration.
