Fostex has made a great name for itself in the pro audio world; I’m still using a pair of Fostex T20s I bought about 15 years ago to mix recordings. But even though its products have been popular among headphone enthusiasts, Fostex hasn’t focused much attention on the consumer market. The TH900 may change that. This gorgeous headphone is finished in Japanese lacquer and fitted with 99.9999% copper cables. Expect a price around $2,000 when the TH900 launches in early 2012.
