HeadRoom is best known for solid-state headphone amps, but knowing that many enthusiasts swear by tubes, the company plans to start importing this handsome output-transformerless (OTL) tube amp from Tektron-Italia. The amp has two RCA stereo inputs and separate volume controls for left and right channels, and boasts a very low 1.5-ohm output impedance. It’s made from aged Italian olive wood, and comes with the matching headphone stand pictured here. Price should be somewhere in the $2,000 to $2,500 range.
