I am a relative newbie fan of this band and its lead singer and driving force, Jónsi, so I am consuming as many of their oh-so-cool releases as I can. I actually just picked up this album on CD earlier this year so I'm thrilled at the prospect of being able to get it on nice (hopefully bigger sounding) colored vinyl. Hvarf-Heim is a lovely hybrid live and studio recoding from 2002 featuring rarities, reworkings and acoustic tracks that haunt, build and take you to some lovely spaces. This Sigur Rós album is like variations on a theme of Brian Eno's Another Green World run through a Jeff Buckley blender.... and that is about the highest complement I can offer.
