When my fellow Tech^2 blogger Geoff Morrison told me a while back that kids these days are playing sports on their videogame consoles, I thought he was nuts. But it turns out he was right! Witness Monster's new EA Sports MVP Carbon, a great-looking, carbon-fiber-accented $269 headphone intended for gaming. (That's boxing champ Sugar Ray Leonard modeling the MVP Carbon, with Head Monster Noel Lee.) It's the first headphone that uses Monster's proprietary High Definition Headphone Sound (HDHS) processing, which purportedly delivers a 5.1-like experience. They also include the Gamebox mix amplifier, which Monster says offers seamless compatibility with PCs and all popular videogame consoles. The EA logo even lights up!
