TSX is a super-affordable line of speakers from Polk. I don't know what TSX stands for, but based on the walk-through I got, I'm confident that the SX part doesn't stand for "sucks." All models feature 0.75-inch-thick MDF cabinets, with curved sides for added stiffness. The driver choice and general design concepts mirror Polk's higher-priced lines. The TSX 550T tower shown at right incorporates two 8-inch woofs, two 5.25-inch mids, and a 1-inch tweeter; a cutaway version on display showed the cabinet to be well-braced internally. Yet the price is just $999/pair. That's the top of the line. The bottom of the line is the $199/pair TSX 110B bookshelf speaker, with a 5.25-inch woofer and the same 1-inch tweeter. Expect an April launch.
