It’s not easy to get a good listen to Monitor Audio’s speakers at big consumer electronics shows like CES and CEDIA — the company’s booth is usually fairly crowded and noisy. But the relaxed environment at TAVES made it an ideal place to experience MA’s PL300 towers, which were hooked up to a Sim Audio Moon W-8 amplifier via Tributaries Clarus cables. Also on hand was the affordable new MASS 5.1 system that Brent Butterworth covered in his recent CEDIA speaker report and which you can expect to see covered in an upcoming issue of S+V.
