What would a Canadian hi-fi show be without Bryston in the house? The company used the occasion of TAVES to stage the first working demo of its new speaker line, including the flagship Model T ($6,500/pair) shown here. The Model Ts played tunes supplied by the company’s BDP-1 digital player. As you might expect, they were powered by the electronics that the company is well-known for. Model Ts come in three flavors: a base model with a built-in passive crossover; a signature version with an external passive crossover; and yet another signature version with an external active crossover. The line also includes in-wall and on- wall speakers, and satellite/powered subwoofer systems. Interestingly, the speakers, which are being produced at the Axiom Audio facility in Dwight, Ontario, were designed by the Canadian power trio of Bryston’s James Tanner, Axiom’s Ian Colquhoun, and Andrew Welker of Audio Products International (Mirage, Energy, etc.) fame.
