<p>The Paradigm/Anthem factory is just a stones throw from T.O. in nearby Mississauga, so it was no surprise to see the company at TAVES. Pictured here is marketing director Mark Aling with the new Aera wireless AirPlay speaker. The $599 Aera, which packs a pair each of 4.5-inch mid-bass drivers and 0.75-inch tweeters powered by 2 x 30 watts of amplification, produced a sonic image that far exceeded its compact size, and kicked out a surprisingly high SPL. Connecting wirelessly with an iDevice via AirPlay is as simple as pushing a single button located up top, and the system also has a 3.5mm analog input and USB port for playback/charging.
