In a troubling sign of weakening resolve among American men, it seems that some can’t even resist their wives’ complaints about the tiny little subwoofers that came with the tiny little soundbars they're using with their skinny little flat-panel TVs. Atlantic Technology’s PowerBar 235 caters to these cowards by eliminating the sub entirely. Using the H-PAS bass enhancement technology co-developed with Solus/Clements Loudspeakers, Atlantic has created a soundbar the company claims plays down to 47 Hz. My ears confirmed their claims; even action movies sound fairly satisfying through the PowerBar. Price TBD, but figure somewhere around the cost of a halfway decent HTiB.

Brent,
I've been reading the various soundbar reviews on this site trying to decide between a few different soundbars. I'm at a loss though on and need some expert advice.
I was debating between the ZVOX 580 and the BA TVee 30. Then I found comments for the upcoming PowerBar 235.
I'm no audiophile, and cost is a factor. However, I'm willing to spend a bit more on to get quality and a good user experience. That being said, I don't know which of these 3 is my best option. I'm using mainly for movies and tv, though will likely listen to some audio CDs (or my wife will).
The ZVOX cost is half that of the PowerBar, though the PowerBar is "higher end". The BA is a bit more than the ZVOX, but I've read poor reviews regarding customer service. Any recommendations or guidance?
Much appreciated.
Thanks,
