Picking up on the multi-driver digital surround technology that has made Yamaha soundbars a favorite among serious listeners, Harman Kardon’s new Soundbar 30 incorporates six 2-inch drivers and seven 1-inch drivers. Sophisticated digital signal processing allows the array to project sound in any forward direction in the horizontal plane. An 8-inch, 100-watt subwoofer handles the bass. The soundbar incorporates 11 amplifiers totaling 350 watts, and uses Dolby Volume technology to keep the levels sane. Expect a February introduction and an MSRP of $799.
