Artison has made its name with left/right front speakers that eliminate the need for a center speaker, so seeing the company expanding its line of soundbars was a little surprising. The new Studio Series soundbars, unlike most of the new soundbars shown at the Expo, are passive—i.e., they have no internal amps so you need to connect them to a receiver.
The coolest thing about the Studio Series is that like many of Artison’s other products, they can be customized so they’re the exact same size as your TV. (Only the grille size changes, not the acoustics of the speaker.) Three models are available, specified by the width in inches of the enclosure: The $998 model 39, the $1,498 model 46, and the $1,998 model 55.
