I know — most camera batteries from the manufacturer average about $10,000 (-ish). Canon’s list price for the battery for my camera is $70. I bought two “no-name” batteries, both with higher claimed capacities than the official version, for less than $10 each delivered. I had no problems with either. There are few things worse than a dead camera battery on vacation. Plus, with more than one battery, you can leave one charging in your hotel while you’re off gallivanting.
