I didn’t see a whole lot of new desktop-style electronics at RMAF, but the new iFi line takes up the slack with several feature-packed, affordable designs. All are designed by AMR, a U.K. company known for high-end electonics. On top you see the $299 iDAC digital-to-analog converter, which features an ESS Sabre DAC chip, anti-jitter technology, and a built-in headphone amp with volume control. Below is the $399 iPhono phono stage, which features six record EQ curves and eight loading options for MM and MC cartridges. There’s also the $249 iCan headphone amp. An even smaller Pico line is planned.
