Low-priced pro audio powerhouse Behringer is getting into the consumer market with a disparate group of audio doodads, including soundbars, docks, headphones and more. To me, the most interesting of the bunch was the $99 Splash, a floating swimming pool speaker. A base unit charges the Splash and also transmits sound from any connected device (iPod, smartphone, etc.) to the ball. Mood lights are built in. I’m confident the Splash will soon be floating in S+V contributing tech editor Geoff Morrison’s pool playing the latest works of the Decemberists.
