Like Alpine’s CDE-133BT, the Pioneer DEH-6400BT uses A2DP for wireless music streaming and AVRCP to give you easy control without looking down at your tiny portable device. It also offers the new Secure Simple Pairing protocol, which lets youeasily pair your Bluetooth-enabled phone without the time-consuming process of having to enter PIN codes or go through complex settings. When a registered Bluetooth device is in close proximity to the receiver, the auto-connection function automatically pairs the two. The Pioneer DEH-P6400BT also has direct USB connectivity for iPods and iPhones, but you have to buy the optional CD-IU51 interface cable interface (sold separately). It also has an App Mode so that you can control, listen to, and view content from iPhone or iPod Touch apps, such as Aha Internet radio, directly from the DEH-P6400BT’s display.
