Audio legend Bob Carver recently teamed up with industry veteran Bob Farinelli to produce a line of tube amps, and CES 2012 was the first chance I’ve had to see and hear them. The amp you see here is the Cherry 180, a 180-watt monoblock amp that seems like a hell of a bargain at just $7,400 a pair. (I know, that still seems a lot to pay for an amp, but find me another tube monoblock with this kind of power at this kind of price.) The one you see here is a special one-off with retro gold flecks in the cherry finish.
