Designed to work with a fairly wide assortment of turntables, the Music Hall Mat is a cork replacement mat that uses a dozen raised cork pads around the perimeter of the mat — plus a larger one in the center — to elevate and decouple your records from the turntable’s platter. In addition to providing excellent damping and vibration resistance, it can also eliminate the slight slippage that occurs with some factory mats. Many users (OK, me) swear their records seem more alive, with greater focus and detail and better low-end performance. Don’t believe it? Uncork some wine, cork up your turntable, and let us know what you think.
