Sure, those with deeper pockets can get a motorized record-cleaning system like VPI’s HW-16.5 (about $600). But what if you want to give your records a bath without taking a financial one yourself? Just mix the cleaning solution with distilled water, drop your record into the Spin Clean basin, and give it a few spins both clockwise and counter-clockwise — the twin velvet brushes will do the rest of the work. Of course you’ll have to dry the record yourself (though the drying cloth is supplied). The system works with records of all sizes, and the process also helps remove static.
