Velodyne's new vTrue is a $399 over-ear headphone aimed at audiophiles, with the requisite buttery leather earpads and (from what I heard in my brief listen, at least) very refined mids and treble. Plus, of course, the ample, but not overwhemling, bottom end that distinguishes Velodyne's vPulse in-ear monitor. The vTrue is a passive design: no Bluetooth, no noise-cancelling. Also showing was the $299 vFree Bluetooth headphone, a beautifully designed model that incorporates the BT control buttons into the graphic design of the earpieces, and can be skinned with a variety of flashy graphics.

Am I the only one that thinks most of this looks like a bunch of junk?
