I caught MTX's display on Friday afternoon, just as I was leaving the Las Vegas Convention Center to return home, and in my haste I neglected to get the name of this big, burly wireless speaker. It weighs a whopping 22 pounds and incorporates 180 total watts of amplification. The $799 unit sounds extremely muscular, too, powerful enough to drown out the din of the LVCC hallways. It includes AirPlay and DLNA for streaming from computers running iTunes or computers and smartphones not running Apple software. (YAY!) That little puck-shaped thing in front is the $79 iP1 Bluetooth speaker. Both ship sometime this spring.
a pity they didn't manage to fit in the FoxL right inside this enclosure and add a battery for a real funky portable speaker system.
the FoxLo is really tempting, but i doubt i would ever have any use for it.
