JVC
JVC has continually impressed in the projector space, and year-after-year has used CEDIA as the springboard to launch the next generation of their vaunted RS, Reference Series, and Procision projector line-ups. This year was no different as JVC unveiled six new 3D-enabled D-ILA projectors. The projectors range from the DLA-RS40 and DLA-X3 ($4,495), to the DLA-RS50 and DLS-X7 ($7995) to the flagship DLA-RS60 and DLA-X9 ($11,995). The flagship models incorporate hand-selected and tested components and provide 100,000:1 native contrast and include the 3D signal emitter (PK-EM1, $79) and two pair of glasses (PK-AG1, $179). The top four models are awaiting certification by THX's new 3D spec, and allow for ISF calibration and seven-axis color management, including a new adjustment for orange said to improve skin tones. All models are scheduled for November release.
