Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Blu-ray is always the perfect excuse to revisit classics, and sometimes they really don’t make them like they used to. Transferred from its original 70mm Panavision format, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’s bold colors and rich musical numbers look they were made for the dawn of HD. Kids will be mildly amused by the karaoke-style sing along feature or the basic interactive driving game, but they may end up simply enjoying kids’ fare that isn’t afraid to be a little dark and weird (and, um, casually-paced).
