8. Green Lantern (June 17) Despite the reboot of Batman kicking unholy amounts of ass, DC Comics has had a hard time getting any of its other major characters to the big screen (unlike rival Marvel, who's all, "Hey, we're making a friggin' Ant-Man movie — how's Wonder Woman coming along?"). But its latest attempt might not only succeed, it might do so in glorious 3D. Ryan Reynolds plays Hal Jordan, a cocky (natch) fighter pilot-turned-intergalactic peacekeeper thanks to a super-powered ring. What sets Green Lantern apart is that he's not protecting just a city like Gotham or Metropolis — his beat is the entire solar system. Bring on the space travel and the giant green fists!
