I loved the minispeakers in MartinLogan’s Motion series, but I have to confess didn’t love their weird, plasticky styling. Apparently my fellow traditionalists have weighed in, because MartinLogan has now created the LX16, an old-school-styled, wood-box bookshelf speaker with the same Folded Motion tweeter that makes the other Motion speaker so good. Not cheap at $799/pair, but I bet they’re good. MartinLogan has also worked the same tweeter into a full line of new in-wall speakers.
