We haven’t heard much from Fried Speakers since company founder Bud Fried passed away in 2005. Recently, the owners of the company asked SalkSound to take over design and production of the line. The result is an affordable (for RMAF) speaker dubbed the Bud Fried Tower. The made-in-Michigan, $2,995/pair speaker continues the transmission-line technology, Hiquphon tweeter, and series crossovers (with no components in parallel) for which Fried was known. A center speaker and surrounds are coming soon.
