
The 3½-hour classic from 1959 is on 2 discs, having undergone a $1 million rehabilitation that involved restoring the movie frame-by-frame from an 8K scan of the original 65mm camera negative. The third disc is devoted to extras, including new and vintage documentaries as well as the 1925 silent version of the film. The box also includes a 64-page book and a reproduction of Charlton Heston’s on-set journal.
