Polk Audio Hitmaster Gaming Monitor
Do you live The Beatles: Rock Band? Do you breathe Guitar Hero? Then listen up. Music-based gaming is a big deal (like I have to tell you), so it makes sense for manufacturers to develop products that fit that genre exactly. Quick to respond, they have come up with a new product category loosely described as “stage monitors for gaming.” In other words, they emulate the speakers that musicians use to hear themselves while performing on stage.
Consider the aptly named Polk Audio HitMaster. It looks just like a trimmed-down floor monitor, and it uses a single-point stereo design to impart what Polk calls “a live-concert sense of realism to musicbased games.” If mere realism isn’t enough, you can daisy-chain a bunch of HitMasters to truly amp up the sound. Is the HitMaster a genuine high-fidelity speaker? I bet not. Is the HitMaster a lot louder and better sounding than the speakers in your TV? You bet your life. Polkaudio.com
