Ultra-ultra thin. That's not a typo. Just a lack of words to describe what happens when you take an ultra-thin screen and make it 1/10th its original thickness. If you're the kind who struggles trying to make your home theater as unobtrusive as possible, Sony's got something just for you. Size does matter in some cases, and in this case, smaller is better. The new Sony HT-IS100 is a 5.1 speaker system,with built-in amplification and decoder. The tiny speakers measure just 1.7-inch square — smaller than a golf ball.

Anyone heading to Japan anytime soon? If so, could you pick up one of these for me? Sony's released two versions of this new VAIO media server, with a whopping 1TB or 1.5TB of storage. Looks kinda like a whopper too.

Sony isn't talking about its update plans for its high-end XBR LCD series, but it doesn't have to when leaked product road maps say all that needs to be said. According to the Boy Genius Report, which published a leaked documents about the XBR series, there are many new sets on the way starting in May and going through the fall. Sony definitely seems dedicated to this lineup.

True high-def camcorders tend to be on the bulky side compared to their standard-def brethren. Sony is touting its new HDR-TG1 camcorder as the world's smallest full-HD version, so there's no real excuse to leave the camcorder at home while you head off on a family vacation with only a carry-on bag in tow. Other than the price, of course.
