RIAA

I'm all for protecting copyright owners. It's their property, and they have the right to protect it. But, there are right ways to go about it and wrong ways.

You know that the RIAA has been suing folks for illegal downloads, but have you ever seen what happens inside the courtroom?  It's easy to say, "That would never happen to me," but it's another thing entirely to see a defendant squirm on the witness stand.

If the RIAA has its way, and we know how they like to have their way, a piracy tax will be imposed on each and every person using the web. Yup. Even if you just use the web to look for love on Match.com, the RIAA wants to assume you're stealing music, and you must pay the price.
