Remember integrated amps? I do — my first two real audio systems were assembled around examples of the one-component, preamp/poweramp combination form.
So does Pioneer. The firm’s new Elite A-20 is an unabashed throwback: two channels, no radio, a few analog inputs (no digital), a few knobs.

Hotline Miami (released today on Steam) is a dark and sordid 16-bit trip through 1989 South Florida and its seedy underbelly. It mixes a retro aesthetic with more violence than you’re used to (think last year’s cult hit Drive). It plays like earlier entries in the GTA series — but without the tedious driving between missions.

You pretty much know what you're getting into with this game just from the title. A good, old fashioned, film noir crime drama based in Los Angeles. Think Chinatown or The Big Sleep, except you're controlling one of the guys from Mad Men.
