Pioneer just announced two exciting new products for Japan: two Blu-ray Disc recorders, both with built-in HDDs. The BDR-WD900 has a 1 TB drive and the BDR-WD700 has a 500GB hard drive. Prices aren't available yet.

If you've been saving your lunch money to buy a brand spankin' new Pioneer Blu-ray player, you might want to hold off just a little longer. Well, unless you like buying something just months before a better version comes out. Pioneer, along with their major shareholder Sharp, announced plans to launch a set-top Blu-ray DVD recorder later this year.

Pioneer has opened a special showroom at the corner of Hollywood and Vine to show Hollywood professionals what their works really look like once they get into someone's home.

Following the successful release of the new lines of Kuro plasma sets, Pioneer is making the same commitment to LCD. Well, committing to Europe, at least.
