Last weekend might have seemed a bit long and boring for some Netflix subscribers. No movies in their mailboxes. How did they survive?

Without explanation or warning, all of Netflix's 55 shipping centers across the country experienced a massive outage. No movies were shipped for three days.

It seems like an interesting game. All the major players in the home-video market are jockeying for position — trying to position themselves in the one location that will remain viable in the future.

Netflix is sticking to what they know best. Their subscription-based service will hopefully remain strong as their free streaming service gains popularity.

The Netflix queue system was a complete mystery in the past until Sound & Vision peaked behind the curtains to see how the system worked. Unfortunately, Netflix planned on nixing one of its best features — separate user profiles that let shared accounts create separate queues.
