LG wasn't content with their truly attractive Scarlet HDTV models. They just had to take it to the next level. Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, yada, yada, but have they gone over the top this time?

LG's new LHT888 HTiB system is hitting the streets with wireless rear speakers and a look that's bound to impress.  The champagne glass shape to the speakers gives this affordable DVD system an elegant look that belies the price. How's it sound? Since it's tuned by Mark Levinson, you can expect the LHT888 to sound great. What do you know -- it will play DVD-Audio too.

Consider something really bright (like the sun on a sunny day) and something really dark (like under your covers at night). That span from light to dark can be expressed as a contrast ratio; the human eye has good ability in that regard. Now consider your TV. The brights aren't exactly blinding, and the darks are gray.

According to news out of Korea, the new LG Scarlet TV is the world's thinnest TV. Well, at 45mm thick, it  is quite thin. But the thinnest model in the world? Not so fast, Ms. Scarlet.
