Google Scan and Match for Google Play Music launches in the US

I was just having a conversation with my brother-in-law who got a new Apple device for Xmas and was complaining about conversion/upload, etc. We agreed that online music services should work this way. Love the idea, will have to check it out!

I think what we really need is a version of this combined with MOG/Spotify that allows a monthly subscription premium for us to listen to online music that we do not own but can choose. RIght now it is a pain to toggle between an itunes/Google music app and Mog/Spotify.

I found this article whilst looking for other Saas type music scan software however I have heard Google have been looking to release this facility for a long term but had major design and technical issues they couldnt work out.

I am glad its now available in cloud format and agree with the commenter above, the current Apple version is not all that great at the moment however this move by Google will sure to kickstart their own platform.
