At this coming weekend's Rocky Mountain Audio Fest, Legacy Audio will be rolling out their latest tower, the Aeris, an all-new four-way configuration. Prices start at $15,900, in your choice of Legacy finshes.
The real news is a brand-new driver configuration, the all-new dual Air Motion tweeter, which should increase both efficiency and power handling, and afford better integration with the 8-inch midrange driver. Complementing those drivers are a 10-inch mid-bass and dual 12-inch woofers, that driven by an onboard 750-watt ICEpower module (extending bass response on down to a claimed 16 Hz). An onboard 24-bit DSP manages the whole affair, while the sub section includes balanced, unbalanced, and S/PDIF and USB digital inputs are provided, along with a level control.
A 21/4-inch thick baffle (laminated in leather) and 2-inch cabinet walls keeps everything nice and stiff, while the cabinet itself sits on a carbon-fiber laminated base for maximum rigidity.
So if you're curious to hear Legacy's new approach, get over to the Denver Marriott Tech Center this weekend.
The scoop on the very newest gear, tech, and apps, whether it's straight from the rumor mill or fresh out of the box.
