Gary,

I won an Ipad III, my first Apple product, and my first reaction, after thank you, was "16gb, and no sd card or usb port? This s*$%(s ! After reading your helpful article on the Kingston product, I started a search, since 32-64gb isn't that much more storage, especially when on the road for 2 weeks.

Voila ! I bought a Seagate Goflex passport (less than $100). 500 gb of storage for all the movies and music you want to send to your Ipad, Iphone, etc !

You can stream a movie from the Goflex to your Ipad like the Kingston, but why would you use 2 batteries at the same time for streaming ? Since you can only watch one movie at a time, just copy the movie from the Goflex or Kingston to the Ipad ( with the help of a Goflex app in the Ipad store), and then just use the Ipad - no streaming hassles, delays, etc. Seagate even recommends a free 3rd party movie app that'll play all movie formats.

With 500 gb I have a great portable, small, wifi hard drive that'll send movies and music to my Ipad quickly and painlessly. And the battery lasts for months if you just use it to copy vs stream.

If you've outgrown your Kingston already, think about this product (no, I don't work for Seagate).

But mainly I write thanks for steering me in the right direction about wifi hard drives.

Cheers,

Gary
