Enjoyed the article.
Before even reading it, the first thing I thought of after reading the headline was Tarantino's use of Bobby Womack's Across 110th Street in Jackie Brown.
That said, sometimes it is different strokes for different folks.
For example, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie A Knight's Tale, complete with the anachronistic music.
Likewise, I enjoyed when the director used Beatles music in the most recent remake of the film Moulin Rouge. It worked, regardless of the fact that the Beatles weren't around during that period.
