I have put a Bose on ear headset in my motorcycle helmet. While riding I lose pretty much all my bass response. I am looking for an incredible portable Ipod amp. to help with this problem. I have purchased a FiiO E11 and am trying it out. Is this the Best I can get without spending an arm and a leg to help with this problem? Do you have any other suggestions to help build volume and bass response.

"We’re the only company in the residential/consumer space that truly uses pro audio approaches and technologies,” Hales said.

I think Zu Audio and JTR Speakers would disagree! Both use pro-audio type drivers.
Even Danley Sound Labs has residential use speakers/subwoofers

I'm not surprised if there are exceptions to Hales' statement, which is why I quoted him rather than stating it myself.

In his defense, I think what he meant when he said "professional" was "sound reinforcement." The concepts he had in mind when he made that statement are: high-efficiency, high-output drivers (i.e., horn tweeters, pleated-surround woofers); active crossovers with digital EQ; and high-powered amplification. All of these things are the norm in P.A. applications.

Zu Audio's speakers (full-range drivers with supertweeters) are very different from anything I've seen used in a professional application. JTR does sell P.A. and residential speakers, but the company's large coaxial drivers are well outside the norm for both pro and residential applications. Danley might sell a few speakers for residential use, but it's hard to make the case that they're in the "residential/consumer space."

OTOH, go to almost any club or concert and you'll see products that look like, and are engineered very much like, the ones Hales sells.
